Hi experts,
Customer wants to control the data visit permissions by the department hierarchy and business roles in SAP Analytics Cloud.
For example: There're 3 layers of sales manager: HQ sales director > Regional sales manager > Area sales manager. If I create only one story, all the sales managers can visit it, when they open the story, the HQ sales director can see all the regions and areas data, while the regional sales manager can only see his own region data, the area sales manager can only see his own area data.
I don't find any organization structure related config in SAC, it's user permissions are base on "Object", "Team" and "Role", I don't think these 3 factors can realize a line data access control of story. Is that mean I have to create a new story for each regional manager and each area manager? If so, I have to update the manager permission when the manager changes.
Now I have SAP Datasphere and SAP Analytics Cloud, the Datasphere help document says, I can create permission view according to the department and business role hierarchies, then the different managers can see different data lines when they open the same analytic view. and the permission view is based on source data sheets, so it will update automatically when the source config changes(e.g. manager role changes in S/4 HANA). Is there similar data access control mechanism in SAP Analytics Cloud? Furtherly, can the data permission configured in Datasphere be copied to SAC? or the Datasphere permissions can influence the SAC report views by user SSO authentication?
