Hello Experts,

I have a requirement where I have to search for mail using subject then I have to reply to that mail.

I am able to search and get the mail I want, but I am not sure how to reply to that mail.

I saw this method in SDK reference guide - res = ctx.outlook.mail.reply(0); but there is no information on what this method returns or how to set the mail body for the reply mail.

Can anyone help me out with this please.

Thanks in advance.

Regards,

Ketan

Hi,

normally you are working on the mail collection list. So try first to set the e-mail body to the indexed mail with ctx.outlook.mail.setBody and then use ctx.outlook.mail.reply with the index and send the mail.

Hello Peter E.,

Could you give an example about ctx.outlook.mail.reply? I try to use it by your steps above but it doesn’t work for reply. It's like create new email.

Firstly, I use ctx.outlook.mail.retrieveMail for store my email to collections.

Next, I use the step below,

ctx.outlook.mail.setBody(i,"Download File Successful.");
ctx.outlook.mail.replyAll(i);
ctx.outlook.mail.send(i);

My outlook will send email with the same information that store in my collections and change body to “Download File Successful.”. Sender is also same from my collection. It’s not take the old body email to use for reply.

Please help me to solve this problem.

Thank you.

Best regards.
