iPanel & Detailed Navigation

Hi,

We're using Portals 5.0 SP 5.

We currently do not use unification server for R/3 to incorporate in iPanel. Not interested in D&R.

Currently I'm using the Detailed Navigation in the iPanel as an external service and not as an iView.

Does anyone know on how to automatically open the Detailed Navigation on login ? Like the iPanel can be automatically opened via changing the "multiplexer.dat" file.

Also, has anyone used the iPanel without using the "Unification server" to incorporate R/3 roles.

Business Package for Unification Extra Light

This iView, which appears in the iPanel, provides an alternative to using the SAP and BW unifiers. It offers similar functionality for viewing SAP roles, but without the ability to use Drag & Relate. This iView uses JCO to connect to the back-end systems to read a user?s roles. It combines both systems within a single ipanel tab; versus the two tabs required by the unifiers. The overhead required to support this functionality is less than for the unifier, since there is no need for a Unification server, unifier project, SQL database, new web server, etc? Because this iView eliminates the need to import roles directly into the portal, this information does not need to be stored in PCD. Release 50.1
