IP54 type device and SUP

I have a requirement for a ppt type device with an IP54 or better rating (I.e. not a smartphone or iPhone) that can be used by staff taking surveys and recommending products. I want to use SUP connected to a SAP ERP back end, most likely using replication synchronisation. Can you recommend any ppt devices ?

In general have a look at my blog on Rugged Mobile Devices, most of these devices are IP54 or better capability.

I would use SUP 2.1.3 for replication as the basis of the synchronization and this means that the choices of OS/language on the rugged devices is either Windows Mobile 6.5 using C# or Android using Java.

My personal favorite device at the moment is:

Motorola MC 65/67– WM6.5, IP65/67 - C# SUP MBO.

Also worth considering:

Motorola MC40 – Android 2.3.4 - Java SUP MBO.

Pidion HM40 – WM6.5 or Android, IP54, 1.2m drop - Java (or C#) SUP MBO.

Intermec CK3X/3R – WE6.5 - C# SUP MBO.
