IP Locking behaviour with several queries in one workbook

Hi all,

I want to integrate two planning queries with disjoint sets of data into one workbook (different sheets). How is the data locking working in that case.

If I open sheet one, is only data set one locked by the user or both? Ideally, I want to let several users work in the same workbook at the same time in different sheets. Is this possible?

I have system currently to check it out by myself.

Best regards,

Adrian

Hi Adrian,

Locks are create by an input query when it gets rendered. I have tried with mutiple queries in workbook but in the same sheet and in this case they get rendered at the same time and hence locks get created simultaneously.

In your case I think, a query will get rendered only when that particular sheet is opened. So locking should happen likewise. A similar case happens when you embed multiple queries in a web template in a tabstip web item (query is rendered only when the corresponding tab is opened).

Hope this helps.

That's the behaviour I assumed. Can somebody certainly confirm that it works this way?

Kind regards,

Adrian
