IoT Scenario with Raspberry PI as MQTT Client and SCP Cloud Foundry

Dear all,

I've to setup a scenario with Raspberry PI as MQTT client connected to a temperature sensor and send values to SAP IoT cockpit in Cloud Foundry environment.

I'm referring to the following blog:

https://blogs.sap.com/2017/08/01/connect-a-device-to-the-sap-cloud-platform-internet-of-things-cloud.../

In order to model Raspberry PI have I to configure a device with Alternate ID equal to MAC address of Raspberry and choose as Gateway the preconfigured IoT Gateway MQTT (see screen-shot below) ?

Is this enough to open visibility between Raspberry and SCP IoT Cloud Foundry environment?

Thank you.

I've modeled Raspberry PI as a device with Alternate ID equal to MAC address of Raspberry and I choose as Gateway the preconfigured IoT Gateway MQTT. Then I've used NODE RED on Raspberry to create a flow with two nodes, the former of type MQTT_IN in order to model the local Raspberry, the latter of type MQTT_OUT to model the SAP Cloud Platform Cloud Foundry Cockpit where the device is modeled and finally I connected them.
