Hi,
I have few doubts about inventory extraction. i studied the INVENTORY DOCUMENT.
My company wants to use existing business content reports
iam using Business content 0ic_c03 info cube. it has PLANT, STOR LOC, MAT, BATCH, STOC TYPE, STOCK CAT.
iam using bi 7.0 flow. i successfully activated the transformations. my doubt is
1.i want to add MOVEMENT TYPE, COMPANY CODE to my cube. but in 2lis_03_bx does not have any Movement type. byt 2lis_03_bf have MOVEMENT TYPE. so at the time of extraction for BX i did not use the field MOVEMENT TYPE. for BF i used, like that which some field are not use in extraction of BX, used in BF is there any prob?
2.how can i cross check my BI report data in R/3 for indivudal extraction (BX, BF, UM).what are transaction code for R/3 for these reports.
3.In cube we have so many keyfigures, but in transformation we did not found mapping for these fields, so how the data updated in to these keyfigures?
4.iam not using any ODS , when we will go for ODS in inventory? I studied the document for Inventory, there he created new kf's ZTOTALST etc. But in my cube already have OTOTAL STOCK etc. is there necessary to create that Kf's
again.
5.what are most common Characters we use for IC_C03 cube for user requirement.
6. where the fields promotion. order number what exactly that means.
Please reply.
3.In cube we have so many keyfigures, but in transformation we did not found mapping for these fields, so how the data updated in to these keyfigures?
I think you see some key figures such as Total Stock, Valuate Stock Qty, Valuated Stock Value etc.... The key figures you dont see in the transformations uses issues and receipts key figures which are mapped in the transformation.
The reason behind this is these key figures are Non cummulative key figures. If you go to the definition of those key figures and see the aggregation tab you will it defined as non cummulatives. These non cummulative key figures are populated using Inflows ( Receipts) and Outflows(Issues).
Hope this helps

Hi,
In my project iam using standard trnasormations is it ok? beacuse iam using only stnadard BI reports only?
for BX update transformatons i found mapping for only these keyfigures
0RECVALSTCK, 0RECTOTSTOCK. other keyfigures no mapping found
all charcters have mapping.
i did intialization i found the report results for all key figures are correct.
for BF, I found mapping for the following keyfigures 0ISSCNSSTCK, 0RECCNSTCK .
the general BI content mapping is correct or not?
Its Ok to use standard transformations. You cant see the mapping for other key figures on the same page because the new transformations contain RULE GROUPS. If you observe on the transformations screen, you will see rule group drop down. By default you will see Standard group. There are still 01, 02, 03, 04 etc rule groups defined. So if you observe each rule group you can see mappings to other key figures. Hope this helps
Hi Nani,
For IM we dont use the DSO's and directly we use only Cube as 0IC_C03.

Hello Nani ,
For cross checking the data BI infocube 0IC_C03 data with R/3 , you can use the T codes MC.9 for Values and MB51 for quantity key figures .
The movement type is coming from BF and UM only.
So map it with r/3 field in these two data sources .
BX is no way related to material movements so not having movement type.

Venkat

Hi,
BX is used only once to initialize the stock data and not used after that. It is only a one time load when you go live with Inventory.
If you have any lookups, or data other than supplied by the standard datasource BF and UM, at a detailed level you can think about going in for an ODS/DSO.
But make sure you don't update the cube 0IC_C03 from the ODS because of the non cumulative KFs. Load to the DSO and the cube should be in parallel from the standard datasources.
Cheers,
Kedar
Hello Nani ,
My experience with Transformation rules of BI 7.0 for 0IC_C03 infocube is that , It does not give you the routines for all the key figures.
If you use 3.x transfer and update rules , you can see 17 key figures and the related routines in update rules of BF .
So if you directly install Transformation rules from Business Content then you will miss lot of routines for the key figures.
My suggestion is to install 3.x transfer and update rules and then transform it to BI7.0 transformation for 0IC_C03.
If you face any problem in going back to 3.x transfer and update rules then you may have to copy the routines from some other project and then manually create the update rules.
