Hi Greatflower,

I have not tried the event chain stuff, but you can go to SE37 and type in RSPC_MIGRATE_INFOPACKAGE_GROUP. Do a single test (F8) and put in the technical name of your InfoPackage group. It will then pop up for you to enter a name and description for the new process chain. Further you will have to go into RSPC and actiavte this process chain. I think it would have been simpler to click on process chain maintenance from within the InfoPackage group.

Hope this helps...

hi bhanu,

Thanks for the reply.I have four chains each

for one infopackagegroup. These four chains have

to be started parallely under one start process.

How could I integrate these four processchains to the start process?or should I have to schedule each process

chains?any help is appreciated.

thanks.

Hi Greatflower,

You can either create a meta process chain and include all of the other chains in it in parallel. Or you can schedule each one separately, but to run at the same time. Make sure that you have enough system resources to handle all the parallel processes...

Hope this helps...

Hi bhanu,

Thanks for the reply. When we create

any new process chain it asks whether to directly

schedule or using a metachain. But what is the

step to create a metachain and how can i embed

my four other chains into it.Should i have

to create my four chains to be scheduled using

a metachain?

Thanks

Hi Greatflower,

To create a meta chain that will comprise of 4 sub-chains, it is a good idea to first have the 4 sub chans ready..I think you have done this. So now start creating a new process chain and insert process Local Process Chain (from the General Services grouping). As a variant for this you can use one of your sub chains. Reapeat this process for all sub chains and then link them together, check, activate and schedule.

Hope this helps...
