Hi,

To be honest I am not sure anymore. The thing is we have changed our approach. Somehow for SAC > SharePoint integration there is a separate tutorial / SAP note, which works a bit differently:  https://me.sap.com/notes/3446524/E

We found out that if we create a SAC > SharePoint connection using this SAP note we can reuse the Open Connector instance for Datasphere > SharePoint. So this is what we do now. I don't follow the description from above anymore.

In this SAP note it is explained which redirect URI you should use. I assume that for the steps that I have described above same redirect URI should be fine.

Best,

Koray

Hi @korayyersel_q

We have subsite associated with sahrepoint and not sure how to access this in Datasphere. We tried below combination but getting Access denied error in Datasphere.

SharePoint Site Address: https://<domain>.sharepoint.com

Documents Library: 'Shared Documents' or 'sites/XXXX/Shared Documents'

When you say "I could access Sharepoint List in SAP Open Connectors directly using "/sites/lists-by-title/{title}/items" path" where did you enter this path?

Regards,

Vivek

Hi Vivek,

in Open Connectors we enter the subsite url:

korayyersel_q_0-1728654465582.png

xxx.sharepoint.com/sites/mainSite/subSite

After that we use this connection in SAC and Datasphere. For example, in datasphere you can navigate through the folders like this:

Thanks Koray. It helped me set up connectivity for sharepoint files.
Can you please help with setting when we want to read lists from sharepoint? What should be the format of 'Sharepoint address' and 'Document library' fields?

Regards,

Vivek

You'll primarily need to use the SharePoint Online connector from Datasphere's interface. First, make sure you have the necessary permissions on both SharePoint Online and Datasphere. Then, in Datasphere, select the SharePoint Online connector, provide your SharePoint site's URL, and authenticate your access. Once connected, you can select the specific data or documents you wish to import into Datasphere. Alternatively, you can also use an Office 365 Backup so that your SharePoint data is not only backed up securely but also intelligently managed. You can read about it at https://loopbackup.com/cloud-to-cloud-backup-for-microsoft-office-365/. It should make the data more accessible and easier to import into almost any system.

Hi, I have the same question about lists data. I couldn't get the connector to work with lists in Datasphere.

I have opened an incident about this. SAP confirmed: SharePoint lists are not supported.

Hi Tom,

inside DSP, you can integrate your SAP Open Connectors account to query data from a variety of sources, including Sharepoint or oneDrive.
See the Open Connectors Catalog here

Hi Thore

In the Sharepoint API documentation, there is nothing mentioned about Get Lists data. Is there any other tool I can use for integration and load data into Datasphere?

Thanks
