integrate a database(MS SQL 2000) to repository framework and trex

Hi Gurus

I try to connect a legacy system in java with portal ok, but this system have a data base MS SQL 2000, my question is, can i integrated a data base in my repository framework to trex make the searches in some tables from this data bases ???
