Instance not starting up

Hi all,

When i am trying to start the instance after a profile parameter change it is not starting up.The disp + work process is not starting up.The error showing up is SAP-Basis System: Signal c00 received by operating system.

Hi Ambarish,

Could your please send us R3trans -dx log and dev_w0 log for analysis.

Also we need some info like what is your physical RAM size and what about you abap buffer size older and new one that your have changed.

issue got resolved changed the parameter to the original value.

Hi,

Are you able to connect r3trans -d ?

post log from C:\usr\sap\DEV\DVEBMGS00\work directory.

try changing parameter back to old or reduce and give a go.

Hi

ambrish

at os level run this command

login as sidadm

go to profile directory

sappfpar check pf="<profile name>"

this will give you error and required paramter value to change

some times dependent parameters value need to change

change that value manually at os level

Not enough Information, what is the Software version, OS, Database,what is the parameter name and value you have changed?

So for your problem you can revert the parameter value to original and then try to start the instance.

os server 2003 , db : sql and system : SRM 5.0 and parameter : abap/buffersize

sappfpar check pf= \sapmnt\SID\SYS\profile\SID_INSTANCE_hostname
