We just purchased crystal 2008. We want to install the crystal runtime on windows 2003 itanium 64bit.
After install. the reports give crystal run time error.
Hi Rama,
If you are referring to Crystal Reports 2008 V1, then I don't think you are on a supported OS. From the supported platforms guide:
Windows support is limited to the 32-bit versions of Windows listed only.
Windows support is limited strictly to AMD/Intel chipsets. Crystal Reports software for Windows is not warranted or supported for use on other chipsets.
CR 2008 with Service Pack 2 does have the following [supported platforms|http://service.sap.com/~form/sapnet?_SHORTKEY=01100035870000731315&_SCENARIO=01100035870000000202&_OBJECT=011000358700001089782009E]:
Crystal Reportsu00AE is supported running on 32-bit versions of Windows running on x86 and x64 CPUs
made by AMD and Intel.
Crystal Reportsu00AE is supported running on 64-bit versions of Windows running on x64 CPUs made by
AMD and Intel.
If you are referring to Crystal Reports SERVER 2008, then [Supported Platforms|http://service.sap.com/~form/sapnet?_SHORTKEY=01100035870000731357&_SCENARIO=01100035870000000202&_OBJECT=011000358700001096602009E]
Note 1:
Crystal Reports Server 2008 software is supported running on 32-bit versions of Windows running on x86 and x64 CPUs made by AMD and Intel.
Crystal Reports Server 2008 software is supported running on 64-bit versions of Windows running on x64 CPUs made by AMD and Intel.
SAP Note: 1466035 - Supportability of Operating Systems based on Intel Itanium architecture (IA-64) CPU also states that this is not currently supported.
All of the supported platforms guides can be found here: [All Supported Platforms|http://service.sap.com/~form/sapnet?_SHORTKEY=01100035870000726096&_SCENARIO=01100035870000000202&]
Hope this helps.
Jonathan
