Hi,

Installing Cristal Server 2020 in Windows Server 2019 Standard is taking so long time. while extracting archive files.

I have downloaded the installation executable file and other .rar file. locally on my dev machine. I copied to those files in Windows server 2019 standard. and started launching 1st executable file(CRS202004P_700-70002768_P1). This is stuck while extracting archive. any suggestions or alternatives to install the same?

Since you have purchased CR Server you should have a Support Contract so I suggest contacting a Support Engineer by creating an Incident and discuss with that Rep on install issues etc.

Note: When upgrading etc. the Installer does a full uninstall and then install. SAP does this to keep things clean and not end up mixing versions...

It could be your AV software is blocking access or scanning every file as it's being used.

You must install by right clicking on the setup.exe and selecting Run As Administrator so the installer has full rights.

I saw the same thing, it does take quite a while to extract and install, it is a huge program so it's normal to take a long time.
