Hi All,
As per my understanding in order to install J2ee Adapter engine, First we need to install Java System and later we install J2ee Adapter Engine.
Please correct me if am wrong.
Thanks,
Kalyan.

If u r talking in terms of any decentralized adapter engine, then such separate Java installation is not required. It always comes as a part of the overall installation package.

Hi Prateek,
Thanks 4 ur replies.
Here we are having J2EE installed machine. Can i directly configure the local adapter engine. Or i need to install Local adapter J2EE engine separately.
My doubt is that Is the J2EE engine and Local J2EE Adapter engines are different?
Please clarify my doubts.
Thanks,
Kalyan.

Yes. U can directly install it.

The central installation has J2EE installed when installing PI. Local AE installation is separate and out of PI box.

Hi,
You want to install the J2EE engine at local adapter engine, you can directly install, this engine installed in the same XI server.
Central adapter is resides on out of XI/PI serevr.
J2EE engine and Local J2EE Adapter engines are same, if it is external then we specify it is central adapter engine.
Hi Prateek,
Thanks for ur reply,
We ahve a J2ee engine in EP server. If i want to configure a Local J2ee engine in that.Do i need to install a separate J2ee adapter engine on already existed J2EE (EP)server. Or can i do directly Configuration in Visual Admin of the existed J2EE server to connect my PI system.
My doubt is J2ee adapter engine already exists in J2ee engine of the WAS or is that a separate installation i need to do even i have tha J2EE engine.
Please clarify my doubt.
Thanks,
Kalyan.
