Install SSL Certificate for Fiori UI5

Hi,

There is a server delivered to me who am more an infrastructure guy rather that a SAP expert.

The server is an ECC6 SAP ERP installation, O.S is windows and is hosting a Fiori web app for users to connect through the browser and so some HR related tasks.

The web UI is using unsecured HTTP protocol and I'd like to convert it to HTTPS.

So What I want to accomplish is:

Where to make a suitable CSR file ?

Where should I import the Generated certificate?

And while I think the Strust is the answer for the previous questions, the important question is how I should make the Fiori web URL to use HTTPS (better if I can configure it to redirect HTTP to HTTPS)

Thanks in advance

M. Ganji

In our environment, we used the guide below to install a HTTPs certificate. It even explains how you can get a certificate for free. But you can use also your own one if you have one.

https://www.sap.com/documents/2020/06/109b1be0-9e7d-0010-87a3-c30de2ffd8ff.html

I'm not 100% sure but the configuration for the redirect to https should be also included in those settings.

Thanks my friend, I will read it in details but just a question. It is for S4/HANA not for ECC. Did you do it on ECC 6 or S4/HANA?

There are 3 differences. The document is for S4/HANA. The OS is Linux and also I cannot find any web dispatcher or so on port 44300 or 44301. Will you please help me on these. Meanwhile I'l try to install the certificate using STRUST

My guide is indeed for S/4HANA. However, the settings should be similiar. I did some research on it. I found the following guide in SAP Help for ECC. Hope this helps: https://help.sap.com/docs/SAP_NETWEAVER_702/ff59695e6c551014b84cac46dd2c1afd/776fb4308dbe40d6b6ac590...
