Infoobect change - Impact on transactional cube

Former Member

All,

We are using a transactional cube for SEM-BPS. One of its infoobject needs to be changed based on requirement. The change is - adding 0FISCYEAR as compounded infoobject. So in order to save and activate the infoobject after the change, I will need to delete the master data (all 3 tables - M, P & S*). I noticed that after deleting the master data, the corresponding transaction data in the cube gets deleted. Is there any way to avoid deletion of transaction data? Or does anybody have another alternative?

Please reply at the earliest.

Thanks in advance!

Hi Ann,

Why don't you create another temp cube and transfer the data over? Alternatively, you can rebuild based on the ODS or PSA, if any.

Cheers,

Gim

Hi,

Here there is no PSA or ODS involved. This is a transactional cube (for BPS only) and not a basic cube. Can anybody please answer my above question at the earliest??

Thanks in advance!
