Dear All,

Info Package in Process Chain having 0 records is taking 1 hr 5 mins to complete. Time out time is set to 10 mins.

Does any one of you know the reason why it is happening like this?

Regards.

Hi

Please check for the below points

1.Is the extraction job done, if not goto Job overview> Source system> Login and check the status of the job. If its active select the job > Job logs> Check whether the job is progressing or not , If its not prgressing then goto the application server based on PID and check whether the job is progressing in the server.

2. Check for TRFC's in SM58 for that system , the status should be 'Transaction executing' , if the status is something else try pushing them manually (Select and press F6)

3.Does this IP run everyday? if 'Yes' is your answer, then how long is it taking to complete its previous run?

4.If the above points doesn't help you, just try repeating the IP after deleting the request from the target.

Hope this helps.

Regards

Sai

When the status was red, I checked BD87 and SM58 and there were no entries.

The corresponding job in sm37 took 869 seconds to complete. Below was the job Log.

Hi

It seems this is due to enhancement you have done on this data source. check the enhancement code once and try to optimize it.

check your extractor once in RSA3 and analyze how much time it is taking there

@ Venkatesh

u mean to say, if it is taking the same time in RSA3, we can be sure that the delay is due to the lack of optimization in enhancement code?

coz, the background job in sm37 for the particular request of info package load is getting delayed at the star line shown below in job log.

Check wther infopackage is full load or delta load in your infopackage..

if it is a delta laod tranferring with zero records you may get caller 08 error after long time in yellow status

we have tablles for delta infoapckages.. if we trigger the load by keeping the extraction date long back then delta infopackages will be tranferred with few records.. so that it will triggered successfully

Please correct me if i am wrong...

Hi,

In addition to aboev checks also check your data extractor and the logic used for the extraction in the source system. Check how much time its taking in the extraction by running the extractor in RSA3 . If its taking time there then check the extractor logic.

Hi,

Your RFC status might not be updated check transaction SM58, as soon as the job in R/3 is completed if your infopackage has not become green then you can check SM58 transaction and make sure that there are no pending RFC's.

Hi,

Check out the data monitor messages. And also check out the IDOC Postings in R/3 as well as in BI through TCODE BD87. Check out for the source system active status in BI 7.0

If everything is fine check for sm37 logs. Provide us more info in this regard so that we can guide you.

Geeta
