Include START date and time of process chain in MESSAGE

Hi guys,

Is it possible to add a VARIABLE in the MESSAGE of process chain? For example, I wanted to include the START date and time when the process chain was started. How can I do it? Do you know the table where this MESSAGE is being saved?

Thank you.

Loed

Unfortunately you can't create desired message with standard variants, I've proposals from my side.

  • Adding standard message variant in the start variant and put message stating that process chain triggered successfully, anyhow this message will be delivered to your mailbox.

  • If you want to send message with start date & time in the message body then you can write program; date & time details can be found from RSPCLOGCHAIN table add program variant in the chain after start step/variant.

Hi Loed,

I never really worked on the subject but the few times I've seen e-mail sent in process chains it was entirely handled through a specific ABAP (with a fully specific text) and not with the standard PC component.

oops, was a bit too fast there... the above table is for the start date/time

the messages get saved in tables SOOD, SOC3 & SOFM
