you can find Create JCo destinations & Maintain JCo destinations in poratl under this role

content admin --> webdynpro

To access this webdynpro you need administrator rights

you can also get the screen to create JCo destinations from here

http://<host>:<port>/index.html -- click on webdynpro tools -- click on content administrator -- give user ID & pwd..

If you find Create JCo & Maintain JCo buttons are disabled, you can enable these buttons from visual administrator. for this go to

c:\usr\sap\SId\JC01\j2ee\admin\click on go.bat

give userid & pwd and click on connect

goto server --> services --> select SLD Data Supplier --> click on CIM client generation settings tab - enter your host, port, username & pwd and save -- click on CIM Client test

hope this helps you

Setting Up JCo Connections

1. Access the Web Dynpro Content Administrator.

The URL is:

2.Log on using the administration user for the J2EE server.

for Java only stack : Administrator &

for ABAP+Java stack : j2ee_admin

3.To create the required JCo connections or edit the existing ones, choose Maintain JCo Destinations.

A list of the JCo connections for the metadata and those for the application data is displayed. Connections for various areas exist.

Please go through the below link if you need more information.

Catch me if you need any clarifications.
