Importing a Web Service in my Web Dynpro Project

Hi;

I have created a project ear for my Web Services and Web Dynpro project. Now I would insert the web service in the web dynpro project, but I'm not able to do that. In my Web Dynpro, I go on "models" and click on "create model", then I have chosen "Import Web Service Model - DEPRECATED". In the "model package" is not shown the package. What do I have to do?

Hi Marco,

You have to import Web Service as a CMI Model in Web Dynpro project. You could not directly refer from existing Web Serivice Project/ear .

While importing you have to specify the java package in the "model package" where the java proxy files corresponding to Web Service Model would be generated. It is usually com.companyname.projectname.modulename.

You have to select the Web Service location/ URL , On next page specify the URL and Specify Finish .

This would create the Web Service Model in an Web Dynpro project .

Also Web Service Model is already Deprecated , you could try using Adaptive Web Service Model instead.
