import users R3 to PORTAL

I am making up applications R3 to PORTAL, now all users can access to all these applications since the PORTAL. I have a question: Do you know how can I configure or import all R3 users for allowing them access from the PORTAL?

Hi Luciano,

U can bring all your R/3 users to portal by establishing SSO between portal and R/3

HI,

Actually as you want that R3 ussers can login from Portal itself and access all the information ,this can be achieved by configuring SSO bw Portal and R3.

NOTE: If you enter a Gateway Service by name e. G. sapgw00 then you have to maintain also the file services in C:WINNTsystem32driversetcservices. For the R/3 Reference System the Gateway Host and Service must be maintained.

Configure User Management to use the R/3 Reference System

The following steps are needed to configure EP for connecting to SAP R/3 as you need to create a new system

1. Creating System Object

2. Creating Folder, Role, Workset, Page and iview

3. Attaching iview to page, page to workset, workset to Role

4. Assigning Role to the User

For system creating you need to give :ITS ,WAS,Connector and user management credentials.and then follow the above mentioned steps.

HI

in Portal UME u can select the data souce as SAP System but i think u cannot do maintenance related activity for your user from portal and everytime u need to log on to r/3 and maintain user and role information.

u can do mass import of user from r/3 to portal

Hi,

You have to configue the UME datasource in your portal which will be connected to your ABAP system.

EP 7.0

System Administation-> System Configuration->Ume Configuration-> Data Source Tab.
