Import of users to groups in BO Administration

Hi everyone,

We are setting up BO with several hundred users grouped into several groups. Could you please advise me if it is possible to import users into the groups so that we lessen the initial effort for the access.

Thanks in advance,

Maria

If users and groups are in Active directory, SAP, or LDAP version 3 compliant directory then you can import them and maintain them from within BO. The steps for this are found in the admin guide (help.sap.com look for your version) and the SAP role mapping would require the SAP integration kit (steps in the int kit admin guide)

If the grousp\users are external you can use the import wizard as stated above or SDK scripts ([visit the SDK forums |/community [original link is broken];for pointers if needed)

Tim

Hi Maria,

Yes you can group user and then import group into CMC under authentication.

Are they AD user or coming from SAP?

Just to add here - if you are talking about Enterprise users (so users that you do not import from or authenticate against AD/LDAP) then you can import them using a text file. Its easy to setup in Excel and you can use the Import Wizard to import this text file. The Administrator guide will provide more information.

Can you please provide more information about hat you are trying to do and what your setup is? Are you talking about enterprise users or do you use an external authentication system (like Windows AD or LDAP).
