image download disabling in BSP

Former Member

Hi,

I am using the BSP tag <htmlb: image>. End users can right click & download the picture. I want to know how to disable the download feature. Is there a tag property that I can use? Any suggestions how to fulfill my requirement in BSP?

Regards,

Apeksha

this requirement can be achieved by small piece of javascript code that you place inside the HEAD of html page

Bear in mind that the user, somehow, has to download the image to their PC for it to show up in the browser. All that the tricks in http://www.hypergurl.com/norightclick.html do is to make it a bit harder for the user to download your images seperately, while adding complexity and size to your BSP pages.

In all the expamples specified , I could still get the images by looking in my browser cache...

true, but this could not be avoided.

most people won't look at the browser cache, at least not the end users.

about complexity, really I don't see what's the point. The script is fairly simple and does add far less than 1k to the page

I wonder if the image is stored as a file into the browser cache if it is embedded into html code in the form of src="data:image/jpg,%%%%" where %%%% is the binary contents of image ?
