Assume we have conducted 5 day loads, if 1st, 2nd, 4th, and 5th day loads were successful, but later we found 3rd day load failed, and we have got the correct data for 3rd day, then what to do to correct the problem?

Hi,

I am assuming that there is no problem with the data ...

So if you are using the PSA for the load, you can either reload the 3rd days load from the PSA ...Delete the request and schedule the load from PSA

Or from the Monitor you could do a manual update for the failed data package.

hi,

All you guys talk about reload the 3rd day data from PSA, but if we correct the source file data from the source system and would load the correct data for 3rd day from the source system, then how to do it?

Thanks alot!

Hi Kavin,

If one of your delta (3rd day) has failed and 4th , 5th days are loaded then you would not be able to get delta for 3rd day directly (exclusively).

It also depends upon the type of data source and amount of data. one way to do this is to load from through flat file (by copying data of day 3 in it from DS and schedule an info package for the same).

If you can fetch data from your DS flexibly that you want to load than schedule an infopackage with selection condition specific to day 3.

Still I would suggest you to go for PSA upload method as mentioned above because in other optiones you need to be very sure about the data conssistency.

Hope this helps.

Hi,

If the load type is delta, and 3rd upload has failed untill you make corrections next upload is not possible. if the load is to infocube...delete the bad request and do the repeat of delta. If the load is master data...change the technical status to red and then do the delta.

If it is full upload....why do you require 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th data.....you can have full data with 5th.....

Vijay

Hi Kevin

I hope you are loading through PSA. If that is the case then you need to delete the 3rd, 4th & 5th request from ODS and correct 3rd one in PSA if possible. Then load it and subsequently load 4th & 5th from PSA.

If you are not loading through PSA then you can correct 3rd request. You need to go for repeat of last delta for that request.

I would advise you to correct these kind of data load failures on same day. otherwise you might face more complications in correcting the situation.

hi Kevin,

would help if more detail info is provided, like staging scenario use ods or not, delta/full update, r/3 or flat file ....

assume the common staging scenario is used, psa->ods->infocube and it's delta-enabled. data update stuck in ods from 3rd day (data not go to infocube since error occured in day 3rd, data not activated in ods), but 4th and 5th data request displayed in ods manage (go to ods new table).

delete 3rd, 4th, 5th day requests from ods, correct 3rd day data in psa, load 3rd, 4th, 5th from psa.

hope this helps.
