what kind of lookups and when we use this lookups?
what are IDX1,IDX2, IDX3,IDX4,IDX5?
when we use these t.codes?

Hi,
To create port in xi......IDX1
To load metadata of idoc.......IDX2
To monittor the IDOC messages.....IDX5
we use these T codes when working with R/3 systems..........
in R3 we create port using WE21....in XI its done by IDX1....

IDX1 is to maintain the Port thru which the system communicates with the other systemsin the landscape. It is a important part of the ALE configuration. It is same as the WE21 in R3 systems.
IDX2 is the place where the IDoc meta data is loaded in to the system.
IDX5 is similar to the WE02 in R3 where u can monitor the inbound and outbound IDoc.
IDX3 n IDX4 is not there in XI
