Identity Management is not working with Reverse proxy

Hi ,

We have confogured reverse proxy. Below is the scenario

Browser -


>Apache------->SAP Web Dispatcher -


>SAP Portal

#irj both ways

ProxyPass /irj https://SAP_WEB_DISPATCHER_HOSTNAME:1443/irj

ProxyPassReverse /irj https://SAP_WEB_DISPATCHER_HOSTNAME:1443/irj

Now when we execute

https://SAP_WEB_DISPATCHER_HOSTNAME:1443/irj ( we can retain Apache hostname ) -


>Enter User id , Passowrd -


>Then we click on 'User Administration' , we get below error

'Web Page can not be found' HTTP 404. .Same page works with http://Portal_Hostname:50000.

Other iview are working fine with reverse proxy configuration.

I have read blog but no luck for far.

Please let me know if anybody has any idea.

Hi,

identity management in the portal is a webdynpro application. Also add /webdynpro to your Apache configuration:

ProxyPass /webdynpro and ProxyPassReverse /webdynpro

Hi,

Use a tool like HTTPWATCH to trace what is really going on.

Look also at the web dispatcher trace file (eventually increasing trace level).

Tushar,

We had a somewhat similar issue whlie using IIS proxy with our portal . Think you may need to add a rewite rule in your

proxy perhaps for that . I dont exactly remember though how we had resolved it since it was long back .

Hope this gives you a hint .
