IAC and Transaction Iviews

Hi

I have a requirement where I have to host a Transaction on the Portal. We have enabled the Integrated ITS. We are running on EP6.0 and ECC 5.0

One option would be to create an Internet Service for this transaction in SICF and use it in an IAC Iview. Other way would be to use a Transaction Iview(HTML Based). Can anyone justify me which method is better.

Hi Muralidaran,

If you are using IAC components you can customise the look and feel of screen fields while creating the IAC. You can add your your background colour and other settings.

If you are using the transaction then the screen you cant change the settings. It will appear as in the GUI for html.

For IAC you have to customise all the screen included in the transaction to be uniform.

In transaction all the screens will appear as it is.

Hi Muralidaran,

Go to Se80 transaction in R/3.

Select internet service from the drop down list. In the input box enter the IAC name and enter.

The service file will get displayed. Expand the service file. You see the theme folder. Under theme you see the HTML templates. Double click the HTML template you want to change. In the right side it will get displayed.

Right click the service file and choose publish service file to the ITS server.

To see the ITS server. In the SE80 transaction go to utilities --> settings. Here you have the ITS server settings.

To access this you should have SAP R/3 4.6C and above.
