hxehost:53075 not responding

Loaded HXEXSA is loaded on the VM following the document, started the apps and checked with webide instance is running but when tried to pull up the WEB IDE using the hxehost:53075. It returns as ERR_Connection_Timed_out attaching the screenshots for your reference.

Hi All, I believe it is the issue with VM (oracle box and vmware workstation with network adaptor or something). I tried all i am able to ping the host but I am not able to reach to the ports for webide or xs ports. Strange. I tried changing to different hostname as per blog from Lucia etc but no use and no help.

Hi, thanks for the solution! Does somebody know how to fix this issue in the firewall settings permanently. When I start with VM again, this solution does not help me anymore. Greetings

Hello Z-k,

you can disable the firewall permanently with "sudo systemctl disable firewalld".

Hi All,

Finally after 4 days, day and night got to resolve this issue.

Its bit wierd and do not know if recommended to do but I had disabled the firewall at Suse.

sudo systemctl stop firewalld

After that when i again tried it worked.

Thanks, I can confirm that solution for the current HANA Express version 2.00.076.00.20240701.1 (HANA 2.0 SPS 07).

In the prior version 2.00.072.00.20231123.1 (HANA 2.0 SPS 07) the firewall was disabled per default.

The firewall can be disabled permantently with the command

sudo systemctl disable firewalld

The status can be checked with

sudo systemctl status firewalld

did you put hxehost in your hosts file?

I have the same issue.

Yes, hxehost is in the hosts file. Ping is running fine with IP and host name. The SSH connection also works fine.

"xs apps" tells me that the service webide is running ("1/1").

Error message in browser: ERR_CONNECTION_TIMED_OUT
