Hi,

I have build a new business objects environment BI 4.1 SP4 with 2 web servers a
nd 3 app servers running in clustered environment.

Everythings looks fine.I am able to login to cmc ,but whey i try to modify the server settings and click save and close.I get HTTP status 500 error.

I removed tomcat work directory and restarted tomcat, but the issue is not resolved.

Do i need to reinstall the tomcat server or is there any alternative ?

Thanks

Before making any changes, you need to understand where the issue is coming from.
You need to determine if the issue is due to load balancer or due to tomcat settings or due to backend BOE processes or because of the cluster communication issues.
You start by tracing HTTP calls.
Then remove LB from the picture and test using direct URL's to CMC on each tomcat. (which is not a web server).
and then you need to run End to end trace (KBA 1861180) to see what's broken.
