http redirect - without WebDispatcher

Hello,

is it possible to make a url redirect in ICM of http://<hostname> to specified PORT+URL?

So the URL which is entered is without the Port of the Instance.

So it has to listen to 8000.

I know in webdispatcher it is possible, but in ICM I couldn't solve it.

I tried with icm/HTTP/redirect_0 but without success. This seams just to listen on Port of the instance.

Kind regards

Hello,

If you don't have a service running in a particular port, then this will not work.

If you have a service listening in the port 80, for example, and want to change to port 8000, then you can try the approach from SAP note 2202116, taking for granted that you have the minimum release/patch level mentioned in the note.

Kind regards,

Cris

Hi Anon,

You could test this using HTTPURLLOC table.

Hello,

If there is a proxy being used (e.g., proxy configured at the end users' browsers), then you might check whether the proxy can perform the redirect.

A redirect is a "reactive" action. An initial request must be received so the ICM (or Web Dispatcher, or any system / equipment) can send the redirect .
