How to wrap text the column headers in BEx Designer

Is there a way to wrap text the column headers in Bex Designer?

Murali is absolutely right. try this simple way. it will work.

Just by hitting 'enter' key.

for example:lets assume you have text 'sales for customer Ford' in description window.

Now you want to display it as

Sales for

Customer ford

Place the cursor after 'sales for' and hit enter or Ok key in keyboard.

and you will see it in query designer it as 'Sales for / customer ford '.and in output as

Sales for

Customer ford

Hi Murali,

I am not getting the output.

What I did was,I went to properties window of the text and tried clicking enter placing the cursor whereever required.In the output it didnt show any difference.

Can you please tell me where I am going wrong?

The method you mentioned applies only to key figures.

I want to achieve this for a characteristic.Is it possible in any way?

It may not be possible for characteristics.Instead you can maintain your own description in characteristic properties locally.

Hello ,

Using text variables you can display the column headings , either you can create text variables with customer exit or replacement path as processing type.

In WAD you can capture the value of text variables used with the help of text elements.

Hi suchitra,

In BEx query designer, there is no such option to wrap the column heading texts.

You can use BEx Report designer in which you can enable text wrapping for each cell using row patterns.

If you were talking about the query descirption in web template then the TEXT web item properties has a property called TEXT WRAPPING.
