How to use Standard API from BAS

I would like to use Standard API from BAS script.

for example i want to retrieve Material Documents data from s4hana cloud system and use in BAS.

Then, can I use Material Documents API in BAS? How can I try to use API?

BAS is just the development environment. Do you want to develop a CAP or a UI5 Application?
