How to Upload PreExisting par Files in netwaever

Dear All,

I have developed iViews in EP5 based on par files..

we used HTLB and JCO..

now we want to create iViews based on my available par files and for that i want to upload par files can any one guide me how to upload par files in EP6 Netweaver ..

Hi,

for uploading PAR-Files you need the role com.sap.pct.pdk.JavaDeveloper. In this role you have the "PRT Admin Console". There you can upload PAR-Files.

Hi,

You could also upload the par file using the PortalAnywhere.default service.

Navigate to System Administration --> Support --> Portal Runtime --> Administration Console.

Hi Prasad,

We can upload the par file through the EP 6 functionality.

System Administrator -> Transport - > import

select client from the radio box, upload the par file, it will show you the complete list added to the par file and select all and click import at the bottom of the page and it will throw you a url from where you can find out what all the view, pages and so on. this is the a log file for the import action.

Hi

I want to upload the Par-File 'com.sap.portal.unification.connection.tester' but I get the message 'not a valid *.epa-File.

The procedure through Transport -> import expects an epa file.

If you import the .par file through System Administration --> Support --> Portal Runtime --> Administration Console

it should work fine (it did for me with the same TestConnection par)
