Strangely enough i find that SQL nywhere is still running after I shutdown my Powerbuilder App even though I disconnect from the DB before closing. Is there a SQL syntax to shutdown?
Windows 7 pro - SQLAnywhere 11 - Powerbuilder 11.5
Thanks,

Besides Chris's suggestion, there are the STOP DATABASE and the STOP SERVER (until v11: STOP ENGINE) statements. I guess in your situation both database and engine are still running...

Check your ODBC Database tab setting for "Stop database after last disconnect". If that is checked, there might be other connections that remain open on the database.
