Former Member

hi,

I have a webi report.

I am placing a blank cell in my report which has got some text.

The text should be rotated to 90 degress.

I don't see an option to rotate the text in cell to 90 degrees in properties.

Please help me on how to rotate the text in cell.

Thanks,

Vamsee

Try:

="<html><div style="+Char(34)+"writing-mode:tb-rl"+Char(34)+">"+[Object]+"</div></html>"

In cell properties select display cell ontent as HTML.

Assumption:

[Object] contains the text to display.

Limitations:

1. Visible only in html viewer. In edit mode this will not be visible.

2. If you save the report in excel/pdf, only html code will be visible instead of desired text.

@pumpactionshotgun

the code you gave helps us a lot.

Just a question about that...your code rotates the text top-bottom

is there a possibility to present it bottom - top.

say if the text is "green"

your code rotates it like this but flipped to the left

I actually found an answer digging deeper into the forums in google.

="<html><div style="Char(34)"writing-mode: tb-rl; filter: flipv() fliph();"Char(34)">"[Object]"</div></html>"

here is where i found it

Sorry, when i post the exact code it becomes something like the above post.

what all you have to do is where it says

" writing-mode:tb-rl"

just make it like this:

"writing-mode: tb-rl; filter: flipv() fliph();"

there is no option to rotate a cell in webi

the only way to do something close to your requirements is the previous post.

it will not rotate the text, but it will write a character each line

good luck

Try this:

Goto Properties of Free Cell,

1. Make Horizontal Text Alignment = "Left" <its optional>

2. check on Wrap Text

3. Reduce width of text box.

4. You will see text moving to next line and so on..
