restore only the configuration

I am nt sure if I understood ur prob correctly. But if u r talking about the IR and ID configurations, then these have to be exported as .tpz files. U can then have a backup of server. Then while restoring, u have to import the tpz files.

Hello Prateek,

Yes you are right, i just want to restore the IR and ID configuration. I have exported the .tpz files. but my question is to import that .tpz files what are the required configuration, such as

1 we have to install the XI on same SID or it can be restore on Different SID

2.All the patch level should be equal or it can be restore to any patch level.

3. Is there any other procedure to restore these .tpz files.

The tpz file import-export process are part of the XI File System Transport Mechanism. Based on it:

1. SID may be different.

2. Same patch level is preferred. Bcoz there might be some functionality of a patch which is not provided in the other one.

3. Again if we talk about another transport mechanism, then the other choice would be CMS. But here the file level backup couldnt be made.
