I have restarted the Linux system on which Cockpit is installed. Now cockpit is not starting. How to troubleshoot or start cockpit from command line? Which folder I should enter in?

Hi Andranik,

If you have installed HCP (HANA Cockpit) as a separate SID then you have to login as that user and HDB stop

But, if you have installed it as seprate database , like me, then you can open sql console in Hana Studio or isql in cli and run the following command

ALTER SYSTEM STOP DATABASE <your hana cockpit database name>

Note: you can only run this from your SYSTEM DB.

Hope you got your answer!

Best Regards,

Bharath

Hello,

You can logon the cockpit machine that you installed the cockpit with the instance user, such as: h4cadm.

Then it will navigate you to the default folder, go the instance folder: /usr/sap/H4C/HDB96, then execute the command to start it: ./HDB --start

The default installation directory will be /hana/shared/<sid>

I would suggest you to go through the document.
