how to put back the length of Char (NUMC) Infoobject?

Hi ALL,

I have created one Z infoobject for Fiscal Quarter and that is being used in 15 cubes. I have written Exits and Routines for that. now I have changed it's length to 6 without thinking. but now I want to put it's length back to 5 and activate it. But I am unabvle to do it.

Please suggest how Can I resolve this problem?

The definition I want now from length 6 to 5. I am able to save but not able to activate.

Try activating the involved tables manually via SE14. There was a similar post a couple of days go on here, should you need more detail

I am able to do this by deleting the data in all my Data Targets( Because I am in Development).

ok, you were able to change it back in dev, no what's the issue? after you to decrease the length of this info object, did you transported it to Qa/Prd? if you did, it would have throw an error isin't?

If the object was transported , then you will get this issue , but if it was never transported , it can be done in Development by dropping the data and changing it.
