Hi experts
I have the next scenario with a customer:
There’s a productive Solution Manager (SMP) where ChaRM manages the transports of a classical 3-systems landscape (ABD100 , ABQ300, ABP300).
____ChaRM in SMP___
ABD100 -> ABQ300 -> ABP300
A new Solution Manager (SMQ) with the role of DEV/QAS is going to be implemented for training and testing purposes of new solman functionalities.
We want to configure ChaRM in this new Solman SMQ to train new staff in the use of the functionality and obviously we need a managed landscape to move transport requests. According to the note 2915372, only one ChaRM can manage the whole landscape, so, it is not possible to use the landscape of ABD100, ABQ300 and ABP300. But I want to know if it is possible to create 2 new clients in the system ABD (ABD200 and ABD250) to simulate a 2-systems test landscape managed by solman SMQ and handle transport requests between these new clients using ChaRM.
__ChaRM in SMQ__
ABD200 -> ABD250
Please also let me know if there are special considerations, for example it comes to my mind that all transport requests will be created in system ABD but in different clients and managed by different ChaRMs. Can this lead to a problem in the way that ChaRM operates?
Another option is that this new 2-systems test landscape can be created with two clients in the system SMQ (SMQ200 and SMQ250)
__ChaRM in SMQ__
SMQ200 -> SMQ250
Is this possible? Can a Solution Manager be managed by itself?
Kind Regards.
Arturo
