Hi all,

We have created a SAP query (SQ01)that reports all the employees that belong to a particular org unit. How can we now link this query to our portal. As soon as the user clicks on a link on the portal, it should take them directly to the output of the query that we created.

Any help will be much appreciated.

Thanks

Valencia

You should see if a RFM enabled function module for getting a query result exist in R/3. If yes, you could create an iView that use JCO to connect to R/3 and get the result of this query.

Another possibility would be to use ITS to link to the transaction SQ01 but then you would have an iView in the portal with the R/3 look and feel.

Maybe you already knew all of this ... but I don't have any other idea.

Xavier.

If you want to make this query available only for managers so they can display all their reports (based on the org unit chief relationship) you can use the SAP Query Template. If you are on EP5 the master iView is called com.sapportals.pct.srv.portaldataviewer.SAPQueryTemplate. If you are on EP6 the template is called (in portal archive) com.sap.pct.srv.portaldataviewer; after clicking NEXT select SAPQueryTemplate.

Thanks Hope,

We have done this already. But we are getting a few errors. Please can you tell me: in the IMG, do I have to ensure that the FCODE 'MSS_NODE_QUERY' has been ticked?Because one of the errors that we recieve is "Query does not exits". But we have created the query and the portal is pointing to the system which has the query implemented on it.
