How to Integration SAP ECC and OSISoft through SAP XI/PI?

Hi,

Short Discription about the Product OSIsoft:

OSIsoft has certified integrations for SAP PP-PI (Production Planning-Process Industries), SAP-PM (Plant Maintenance) and SAP-QM (Quality Management) modules.

Additionally, OSIsoftu2019s RtPM Business Package for SAP Portal (Certified for SAP NetWeaver) allows users to link and correlate PI and SAP data and display in SAP Enterprise Portal.

So taking the above functionality in consideration I want to use XI to send data to SAP PP PI or SAP QM or poll data from SAP PP PI or SAP QM.

Can any one give me the suggest me how to start of with.

Thanks in Advance.

Best Regards,

Joseph

Hi Joseph,

Since you have mentioned that OSISoft has its own certified modules, there should be some PI/XI Contents for integration of those modules you have mentioned. Get those PI Content, it should be in "tpz" format, place it in import folder of XI and get it in Integration Repository, for Integration Directory you should configure the communication channel as per the documents in OSISoft and then use those in your scenario, and other objects like Rec deter, interface det, etc..everything will be automatically created once you configure it... Hope this helps u...

Hi Prasad and Srini,

Thanks for the information.

Client has decided to go for SAP xMII to integrate between OSISoft and ECC, DCS and ECC. So started preparing on that. If you have any idea on xMII please give your inputs.

Thanks in Advance.
