How to freeze pane in WIB office web component ?

Former Member

I created a web interface including a planning layout where I put the Excel Web Component to true.

According to the documentation, one of the reasons to use the Office Web Component instead of a planning folder is the ability to use the Excel freeze and split pane functionality.

I do not succeed in freezing and splitting panes.

How do I do this ?

Thanks in advance,

Filip

Hi Filip,

just select the cell around which you want to freeze panes, and in Excel, go Windows->Freeze Panes.

You will see 2 black lines, on the left and on the top of the selected cell.

If you move around in your excel sheet, you will see that the panes are frozen.

Hope this helps.

Hi again,

sorry I read your email too fast.

My experience is that a layout in excel with panes frozen in bps0 will not be kept in the web component.

Hi,

On the 3rd screen of the layout builder, you have to :

1. Freeze the panes in the excel sheet.

2. Click on the second button on the top right (Ms Excel Settings) and check the box "publish for Web". Be careful that it might slow down your WIF.
