Hello
We have some Business Warehouse (BW) reports that we have been running using the Analysis add-in in Excel.
Now, we are trying to find out the queries (SQL statements) behind some of the BW reports.
Is there a way to find it out?
While looking into it, I found that there are "BEx Query Designer" and "BW Modeling Tools". The latter seems to be the tool to create the BW reports. Thus far the information I can find is that users select fields/columns from already imported objects (tables/views/cube?) to create a query. It does not mention anything about the underlying queries. I wonder if there is an option in the tool to display the SQL query.
Thanks
Hi Quin
Try the transaction RSRT. Type in the query name and then press "Execute + Debug" and then choose to display SQL. It may not be what you expect and it will take some time to understand what is going on as much of the work is done in the OLAP engine and not in the SQL. Another more raw options is to make a Database trace in transaction ST05.
with kind regards
Kristian
