How to find a deloyed role at the server level

Hi!

We deployed a role and this role is showing in a sub-folder under "portal content".

We want to find the OS location this role or its related files are sitting.

Thanks! Points guaranteed.

You can use the SDM to deploy epa files. The SDM will really just deploy it to the DB. If the SCM was deploying a SCA file, it would deploy to both the DB and file system.

To get a good look at what the EPA file contains, login into the portal and go to System Administrator --> Transport --> Transport Packages --> Import. You can put your EPA file in the transport directory specified in the file field, or you can upload it from your local machine. This will allow you to preview what's in the EPA file. Do not click the "Import" button unless you want to import your EPA file. Click import does the same thing that the SDM does.

Regards,

Tom

If you are looking at the role in the portal under Content Administrator --> Portal Content, then that role is actually stored in the Database and not in the file system.

It is a .epa file deployed by SDM.

So I should be able to see it at SDM?

Please confirm. Thanks!

If it is in the DB table, which table to look for the deployed objects? Thanks!

Hi Jennifer,

You can find the details in the following table but in a encrypted form.

UME_STRINGS has user definition.

Thanks
