Hi,

I have created an XML form and generated the project. In Portal i had created KM Navigation iVIew specifying the path for the xml form. On saving the iView and check the preview i found all the links for forms in the folder from where i am taking my required xmlform.

say for example i had created News form in XML Form builder and configured the same using KM Navigation iView and the XML form for news is in forlder /etc/xmlforms/testNews, along with this there are somre other forms say cookbook, recipes etc. so when i do preview for my iView i see links to create new one for all the forms.

Could any one tell me how to disable those links on the form

Regards,

Ravi.

Hi Ravi,

Do one thing, when you set the iView Property for KM Navigation IView Layout Set property to <b>NewsBrowser</b>. Then the links will be hidden.

Hi Ravi,

In order to hide the SAP standard XML forms in portal, choose Options in the XML form builder and Select Hidden on the Project tab page.

Hi,

Navigate to: System adminstration > System configuration > Knowledge management > Content managment > Form based publishing > forms availability

Under <b>App_All_Public</b> type '<b>SAP_APP_*</b> under Forms to Exclude, so that you wont get the SAP Ones. If you do not want still more seperate them by commas. Type the Form Id's in the field.

Hope this helps. If it did consider rewarding points.

Hi Prem,

I did that, say for example my folder is "fileA" in path "/etc/xmlforms". I had given the settings folder Path as "/etc/xmlforms" and files excluded with respective file IDs seperaed by ",". but still i am facing the issue.

Should i need the specify the path as "/etc/xmlforms/fileA" or just "/etc/xmlforms"

Hi Ravi,

If you want the link of only your form then you have to give required comma seperated form ids in "Forms to Include" and provide * in "Forms to Exclude".

Or you can maintain your xml project folder and the news item at different locations in KM. i.e. keep xml project at /etc/xmlforms/fileA and give the data path in options to some other location say /documents/news/fileA.

So your news file will be created at this location and you can set forms availability for this new location.

Thanks,

Ami

Hi Ami,

I wored fine for me, i need one more help. When i see the preview of the iView,

as required it shows the link for New News and below that a folder "tmp" is shown.

Once i click on that folder its againg aking me to the same folder with all the links shown this time.

Any idea why is it displayed, and how should i remove that tmp folder.

Hi Ravi,

In the preview, if it shows the folder name below the New News link then it means that you have no provided the correct value for Path to Initially Displayed Folder

property.

It should be the path where all your news items are stored.

Just check the path and let me know if it solves ur problem or not.

Thanks,

Ami.
