Hi Every body,

Can any one help me how to develop a workflow that will be triggered whenever a vacancy is raised in a department. Then the workflow sends notification to the responsible person to make recruitment.

Madhu.

Hi,

Plz refer the site www.idocs.de.

They have specified clearly abt WORK FLOW.

In that site click the link "Idoc/ALE" on the left hand side. Then clikc the link "THE BOOK" on the first vertical scroll bar. Save the book in ur sys. U will definitely get a feel for Workflow as well as Idoc.

Madhu,

For doing this you have to find an appropriate business object for your requirement. For that you have to use BOR through SWO1.

Business Object in Personell Management might be helpful. Once you find a proper BO, associate the respective event to the Workflow which you develop using SWDD or PFTC.

Hi Madhu,

Sam Again !! Please clarify few things.

Is the employee promotion captured in Transaction code PA30/PA40 as an action??

Cheers,

Hi Madhu,

When a vacancy is raised in a department, an Event should be raised. If the application has a standard object and a related event exists for the application, Event will be automatically raised. Else use one of the possible ways to raise an event.

Use that event in the Triggering Events part of Workflow development.

Make the necessary binding.

Design/create steps in the workflow as per the requirement.

Hi Anji,

Thanks for the help, i am new to workflow could you please how to edit or change a workflow(transaction code). How to Develop a workflow that triggers automatically when an employee gets a promotion. A work item is then sent to all the employees in the company. Hi Madhu,

You can create or edit the workflow using T-Code: SWDB.

For your reference, these are all the workflow related T-Codes:

  • SWDD - Workflow builder

  • SBWP - Business Workplace

  • SWU3 - Verify Workflow Customising

  • SW01 - Business Object Builder

Task profile management can be done through the T-Code SWI13.

All the workflow related things can be reached through a single T-Code <b>SWLD</b>, this is an area menu which contains all the workflow related activities.

Get back for further clarifications.

Hi Madhu,

You can set a triggering event(Event whose occurence starts a workflow or a task) in your workflow. This event is automatically triggered when the corresponding activity is reached.

Then, the work items you need to send to all employees can be defined as dialog workitem which can be passed at the runtime.
