Hi ,
Follow the normal steps to create groups in portal in User Admin.
I think the group will be created automatically in UME database.
You can't create groups in LDAP from portal.

Hi,
LDAP server maintains all the users' inforamtion. So, If a new user(SAP User) is created in portal that has to be maintained in LDAP server. So, If you want to retrive users' information that will be fetched from LDAP Server.
But, I think If you create a Users' Group in portal that will be created locally and whoever users will be assigned to that group will be retived from centally maintained users' database information system that means LDAP server.
problem was resolved
solution is :
select the readonly dataSource file (XML)

i got the error message see below text:
-
An error occurred in the persistence. The original message (possibly not translated) was: "[LDAP: error code 50 -
NDS error: no access (-672)]". Contact your system administrator

HI ,
Go to User Admin role and from the dropdown select Group . You will see an option to create Groups .
Also like sandip mentioned , groups will be created in UME only . You cant have them in LDAP .
You can assign more than roles to groups and groups to end users .
