I'm trying to copy an iview from one folder to another. But I get a red message telling me the objects have not been inserted. Can anyone tell me step-by-step what is to be done?
I've tried by doing this:
secondary mouse button - copy (on the original iview),
secondary mouse button - paste (on the desired folder).
Thanks in advance, and, of course, points in reward.
Hi,
Exactly. The iView should have been locked. Once you unlock it, it will be available for editing (coying in your case). Just see whose id has locked it. If someone is using, then it remains locked till that person closes it. Meanwhile if you unlock it, then their changes may not reflect.

Hi,
other chance of the error.....
other thing is, you might not be having the permissions to edit the destination folder. check you permissions on that folder. system administrations->permissions-> check the permission levels on the destination folder.
this gives you the copy paste functionality http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04s/helpdata/en/f5/eb515d0e6a11d7b84900047582c9f7/frameset.htm
check verification part(second table) for errors...

Hi,
think iView is locked by the administrator, so plz unlock the iView from the below mentioned path in the portal after login as administrator:
System Administrator->Monitoring->Portal->Object Locking
Select your PCD Object and then click on the Unlock button.
Hope this may help you.

you need to have admin rights to give the permission to copy / paste. follow what i posted in previos post.
you have to make iview / foler permission to full control or read / write permissions.
from top level navigation System administration -> permissions (secondlevel navigation)-> Portal content -> select the folder / iview and check the permissions.... atleast give read/write permissions to that...

Pradeep
