How to chnage selfreg_applyuser.jsp ?

I try to change the selfreg_applyuser.jsp so that another jsp opened after the user pressed the submit button.

I have changed the code:

    <form name="selfRegForm" method="post"
     action="newPage.jsp">

I have saved the changes and saved the file under the same name. After restart I get the message when I press submit:

<b>iView not found: newPage.jsp.</b>

Both jsp files are unter:

Server\sapmnt\Ept\Jc01\j2ee\cluster\server0\apps\sap.com\irj\servlet_jsp\irj\root\Web-inf\portal\portalapps

<b>Edit:</b>

I will open a new .JSP-File and on the same time save the user details to the SAP Portal. How can I handle this?

Hi,

Create a new Component in the PortalApp.xml

<component name="NewJSPcomponent">

<component-config>

<property name="ComponentType" value="jspnative"/>

<property name="JSP" value="NewPage.jsp"/>

</component-config>

</component>

Call that Component in the action

action= "xxx.NewJSPcomponent" xxx --> par file name

It'll solve your problem

I import the com.sap.portal.runtime.logon.par file into NWDS and

change the <i>selfreg_confirmreg.jsp</i>.

I import the two missing libs and over the toolbar image "<b>Create/Export Par File</b>" I deploy the file with the name "<i>com.sap.portal.usermanagement.admin.par</i>". I get the error:

<b>Please make sure the server 'Portal' (<Server>:50104) is running or check the log file</b>

After that I restart the server and test the self registration I get the error:

<b>iview not found</b>

But I'm sure the Server is running! Can I deploy the par file by hand? How can I handle this?

In which directory I have to upload and deploy the file?

Thanks in advance!

Hi

you can deply the par file through portal by

Sys Admin --> Support --> Portal Runtime ---> Admin Console ---> Archive Uploader.

Hi SAP user,

YOu have to place the jsp inside the same par file and try deploying through NWDS.Should work fine

Did I understand that correctly?

1. I import the com.sap.portal.usermanagement.admin.par into NWDS

2. Make the changes on the JSP-Files

3. Deploy the file

4. Put the file back the place on the server

5. Restadrt Server

I don't know waht you mean with if i have access to the 'portal dynpage java file'?

I don't know where it it is and waht they do.

Thanks in advance!

do you have access to the portal dynpage java file?

usually you don't reference jsp files directly but make portal components that have a Dynpage java class that forwards to a JSP file. in the dynpage file is where you would do your data save
