How to calculate SAPS?

I have a BI4 Evn.

32 core CPU

Intel Xeon Processor E5-4650

64GB RAM

Can somebody tell me how should i know what is SAPS/Core for this Env.

I went though Sizing guide i couldn't find how to calculate it.

Also, Can somebody share few sizing best practice apart from sizing guide.

Hi Sagar,

1 Core is approx = 2000 SAPS

and 1 GB RAM = 400 SAPS

You can use this information to calculate the approx SAPS rating of your server.

I agree with you its approx 2000 per core for different processes but it varies for different Technology Partner,Number of Benchmark Users,Average Dialog Response Time (sec) but not sure how its calculated or who tell us "what is SAPS\core for any machine"?

Also i don't think its RAM dependent. do you have any document to support.?

Well your hardware vendor is the best person to give you the exact rating of your system.

While I don't vouch by the contents in the above link but it is worth a read.

It has assumed values exactly half of what i have stated. But it clearly states that they have been very conservative in assuming values.
